Ennis Minibuses for Clare Days Out

Ennis makes touring Clare easy. Shannon Airport is about 20 minutes away, there's a dedicated coach park near the centre, and the Burren, Bunratty and the Cliffs of Moher are all within an hour's drive.

Landing at Shannon

From Shannon Airport it's only about 25 km up the M18, so allow 20 to 25 minutes. That short hop means your group can land, drop the bags at the hotel and still have the afternoon to wander. Pass on your flight details and the driver plans around your landing.

Flying home to the United States? Shannon has US Preclearance, so you clear US immigration and customs before you board. Leave room for that when you choose your drop-off time.

Where your driver waits in town

Group parking is at Friar's Walk Coach Park beside glór, with 14 free coach spaces and a sheltered spot for getting on and off, roughly 100 m from the centre of town. Ennis holds Coach Friendly Destination status, and traffic wardens enforce the bus park bye-laws, so the operator confirms where your minibus should wait.

That makes an evening show at glór or a wander around the 13th-century Ennis Friary very relaxed: everyone knows where to meet at the end.

The cliffs, the Burren and Bunratty

The Cliffs of Moher are about 45 minutes away. Coach arrivals and groups of 10 or more must book in advance, so reserve your visit first and then tell us the time. Doolin, for traditional music and the Aran Islands ferries, is around 50 minutes.

Poulnabrone Dolmen in the Burren is about 35 minutes north. Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is about 20 minutes, off the N18 towards Limerick, and Galway, about an hour up the road, makes a good day on its own.

Questions

Do we need to book the Cliffs of Moher for a group of 12?

Yes. Groups of 10 or more, and anyone arriving by coach, must book ahead. Send us your time slot and the operator plans the day around it.

Can we fit the cliffs and Doolin into one day?

Yes. Both are under an hour from Ennis, so a morning at the cliffs followed by lunch and a session in Doolin is a comfortable outing.

Can you bring supporters to a game at Cusack Park?

Yes. Cusack Park is home to Clare GAA hurling and football. Tell us the throw-in time and where you're staying, and we'll arrange a minibus or, for a bigger crowd, a coach.
