Wexford is a lovely size for a minibus trip. Beaches, castles and gardens are a short hop from your hotel, and a single booking can cover your group from the airport or the ferry right through to the last evening.

Arriving by plane or by ferry

Most visitors fly into Dublin, which is about 150 km and around two hours from Wexford by the M11 and N11. Cork Airport works too if its flights suit you better. Send us your flight numbers and we pass them to the operator, so the pickup follows your real landing time rather than a guess made weeks ahead.

Coming over from Wales or France? Rosslare Europort is only about 20 km south of the town, so a driver can meet you off the boat and have you at your hotel soon after. Tell us the sailing and how many cases you're bringing, because a minibus has less luggage room than a coach.

Easy half-days close to town

You'll barely have settled into your seat before the first stops arrive. Head south-west for about 15 minutes and you reach Johnstown Castle, where gardens and the Irish Agricultural Museum share one estate. Go north for a similar time and you're on the sand at Curracloe. Staying at Ferrycarrig? The Irish National Heritage Park is right there.

Enniscorthy makes a pleasant morning: around 25 minutes up the road to see its castle and learn the 1798 story at the rebellion centre, and you're back in Wexford for a late lunch.

A longer loop to New Ross and the Hook

The Dunbrody Famine Ship at New Ross is about 40 minutes west, and Hook Lighthouse roughly an hour. Together they make a satisfying day on the road. Drivers must take at least 45 minutes off after four and a half hours at the wheel, and a day built around two long visits sits comfortably inside that.

Bigger groups and weekly runs

Bringing a crowd to the National Opera House or to a game at Chadwicks Wexford Park? We can arrange a midi coach or full-size coach instead, and you still deal with one contact from quote to drop-off.

If your club wants the same pickup every week, mention it early. A regular service can only use an existing or proposed stop once Wexford County Council has approved it, so a private address or a car park you have permission to use is often simpler.

Questions

Is a minibus big enough for our family reunion?

Minibuses typically seat 16 to 19. For seven or fewer people an executive van is often the better fit, and above 19 a midi coach keeps everyone together. Give us your numbers and luggage and we'll suggest a size.

Where will the driver collect us in Wexford?

From wherever you're staying, whether that's the Quay, Ferrycarrig or Rosslare Strand. List the addresses when you ask for a quote, and the operator confirms set-down and parking at each one.

Can we go straight from the ferry to a day out?

Yes, as long as the bags fit on board. Curracloe or Johnstown Castle make a gentle first stop on the way to check-in.
